686 is at the forefront of the race to change the face of technical shell outerwear. We’ve partnered with BOA® Technology to develop entirely new innovations in the world of 3-ply technical shell apparel. For those who might be confused by all this fancy lingo, our newest brain-child is an exclusive category that focuses on lightweight pieces with minimalist design needs. What’s the translation? Less weight, lighter and better features = more fun. The Plexus Pinnacle 3-Ply Jacket features this new integrated BOA® technology, which we might add, is the first of its kind in outerwear. Both the jacket and pant also feature fully taped seams, 20,000 mm waterproofing and 15,000 gm breathability. The entire PLEXUS collection is full of ultra stealth technology and style. |

Recently, the entire 686 pro team came into So Cal for a little bonding time and to shoot the new ad campaign. We rented an RV, packed the team in like sardines, and proceeded to drive aimlessly around the lower half of the state. We traveled from LAX to the Mojave Desert, spent the night in a sketchball hotel, and then drove all the way down to San Diego before ending our little excursion in the heart of LA. Needless to say, it was quite an experience and shows in each ad being unique in its own right. Now we can’t tell you what the ad campaign is all about (yet), but we’re really stoked to show it to you guys, so we couldn’t resist giving you a little peep at Marco Feichtner’s shoot in the Mojave desert. Marco’s got the first ad’s of the season in Onboard and TransWorld SNOWboarding . Here’s a couple of behind-the-scenes photos and a closer look at Marco’s desert adventure. 686 am rider Joanna Dzierzawski recently cleaned up on the Cricket Campus Rail Jam Tour. Consistently killing it at many of this year’s 9 locations, Joanna secured herself a spot in the finals held at Pioneer Square in Portland, Oregon. Not only did she come home with Best Overall Female performance but she also nabbed Best Female Trick with a textbook boardslide through the kink rail. Congrats Joanna! If you plan on competing in the Cricket Campus Rail Tour next year watch out; Joanna will be looking to defend her title. |
