Position Overview:
The Junior Graphic Designer works collaboratively with the 686 Art Department and Ecommerce Department. He/She/They is responsible for supporting long term Art Department and Ecommerce projects as well as short term content needs. This role is critical for supporting our fast-paced growth plans and organizational development. He/She/They report to the Art Director and grow his/her/their skills on the following projects: Ecommerce imagery, social media content, seasonal catalogs, marketing campaigns, photo editing & manipulation, production art, image organization and tracking, graphics and others as needed.  
 

Major Responsibilities: 

  • Work under Art Director and Digital Art Director to support both long-lead and quick-strike content projects 
  • Support Art Department & Ecommerce Team needs including original concepts and production art/design 
  • Support Campaign creation in both print and web 
  • Design large format print campaign graphics for retail/outdoor 
  • Prepare final production files for both print and web 
  • Photo retouching and manipulation to key imagery 
  • Create content as needed for social media team 
  • Help organize images and graphics in a central location 
  • Support the broader team as needed with day-to-day design tasks 

Qualifications: 

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud – Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign (After Effects and others are a bonus) 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word 
  • Ability to multitask 
  • Willingness to take direction, feedback and learn
  • Detail oriented 
  • Ability to work with a team and independently 
  • Ability to provide multiple solutions to a given design challenge 
  • Must be highly organized
