Lifetime Warranty


At 686, we stand behind everything we make. Our products are fully guaranteed to the original owner to be free of defects in materials and workmanship during the term of their warranty.

We guarantee all construction and materials will be free from manufacturer’s defects for the lifetime of the product while in possession of the original owner.

The term "Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the product and its components, fabrics and materials. While we choose the very best materials available to make our products as durable as possible, all materials degrade over time with use and exposure to the elements and normal wear and tear. A product’s lifetime is a function of how much use it gets and how well it is cared for and not by how old it is. If you have allowed your product to degrade through neglecting it or abusing it, you have personally shortened the Lifetime of your own product.

Excluded from coverage of any 686 warranty are the following:
  1. Damage not caused by defects in material or workmanship.
  2. Damage caused from misuse, abuse or neglect.
  3. Fabric wear and tear from riding and adventures. 
  4. Damage from laundering incorrectly or not using advised fabric washes. 
  5. Zippers broken from incorrect use and not manufacturer’s defects.
  6. Normal wear and tear.

This Limited Lifetime Warranty may vary from country to country. 686 Lifetime Warranty available ONLY on products purchased after July 1st, 2019

All other products are covered under our 1-year warranty and will guarantee construction and materials will be free from manufacturer’s defects for one year from original purchase date from an authorized 686 dealer.

If you feel that your 686 product may have a defect in materials and/or workmanship, please contact us to obtain a Return Authorization number (RA#). A copy of your original receipt will be required to verify your purchase from an authorized 686 dealer. If you don’t have your receipt, the manufactured date will be used as the start of the warranty period, and verification of your purchase from an authorized 686 dealer will be required.

If you rip or tear your product, we do have patch kits available. Please email warranty@686.com with subject line PATCH KIT NEEDED and we will work with you to help keep your gear going.

 

Hydrastash

If any of your Hydrastash components are defective, we want to make things right for you.
The following components are fully guaranteed to the original owner to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for ONE (1) year from original purchase date from an authorized 686 dealer.

• Bladder
• Microbite Valve
• Micro Tubing

If you feel that your Hydrastash products may have a defect in materials and/or workmanship, please contact us to obtain a Return Authorization number (RA#) and let us help you get back on the hill. A copy of your original receipt will be required to verify your purchase from an authorized 686 dealer. If you don’t have your receipt, the manufactured date will be used as the start of the warranty period, and verification of your purchase from an authorized dealer will be required. 
 
Warranty FAQ
What is not covered under warranty?

  • Broken Bite valves from biting or chewing
  • Tubing Manipulation
  • Customization or altering of the current system or parts

If you are not sure if your product is covered under warranty, please feel free to contact us warranty@686.com and find out and if your Hydrastash Apparel gear turns out to be defective, we will do our best to make things right for you as quick as possible.
 
Will my Hydrastash product be repaired or replaced?
All warranty claims are subject to inspection before we can make things right for you. The photos you submit can be really helpful for us to determine whether or not it is going to be covered, as well as expediting the entire process. Once we have all of the details, we can usually determine whether or not it is covered. If your parts are covered, we will send a replacement out as soon as possible. We do not repair Hydrastash parts.
 
Do I send my entire garment in?
DO NOT send in your jacket or bib unless explicitly instructed to do so. In most cases you will only need a simple replacement part that will be mailed to you.
