All terrain, all conditions, all season… when it comes to snowboarding Gigi Rüf doesn’t discriminate, so we built the kit of his dreams. He wanted a progressive looking jacket made of lightweight GORE-TEX 3-layer fabric for added durability and ultimate performance not just for styling resort hot laps, but also for the ups, downs, and extremes of the backcountry. The ATV jacket is designed to be a quiver-of-one piece for all-terrain vehicle riders.
At 686 we understand that sustainability is not a destination but a way of behaving that aims to lessen our impact on the planet. For us, however, sustainability does not end there. We are committed to the fair and equitable treatment of everyone along our supply chain. Our commitment to people and the planet guides us.

Found on our GORE-TEX and GLCR styles, articulation seams are placed in high mobility areas for comfort, room for layering, and to maximize mobility.
The GORE-TEX membrane is created as a series of pores. Each pore is 20,000 times smaller than a water drop, yet large enough for vapor to pass through. This creates the ultimate membrane for keeping the inside of your garment dry while still allowing moisture and perspiration to pass through, effectively regulating your body temperature while keeping you comfortable inside your jacket or pants. GORE-TEX guarantees you will stay dry and warm in any condition, for the life of your garment. All GORE-TEX fabrics are bluesign® approved, meeting the highest environmental standards.
Cross-venting is achieved through deliberately designed zippered vent placement, much like windows in a house. Open one vent and air will enter and circulate. But if two are opened air will flow through the garment creating a cross-breeze that evaporates moisture and rapidly cools the body.
This creates a packable system to keep gear in order when not in use. It’s simple: the jacket is folded, rolled, and then the hood bungy tightens around the bundle to keep it that way. This creates organization and increases room in your pack. At the end of the day, you have a bonus roll to be used as a cushion, padding, or pillow.
The seams where pieces of fabric are brought together are the most likely spot for moisture to intrude into a garment. The seam taping process prevents this by making the seams as waterproof as their surrounding fabric. Seams in 686 garments can be fully taped throughout the garment or taped only at critical areas to further ensure quality workmanship and guarantee waterproofing.
