A bib reimagined around fit and function. Gigi Rüf and our team of backcountry skiers and snowboarders wanted something that looked as good on the descent as it performed on the ascent — enter the GORE-TEX 3L ATV Bib. Built tough for all-terrain functionality, these bibs are lightweight/breathable for the up and durable for any form of down making them a true quiver-of-one. We added smart detailing like a beacon pocket and secure cinch leg openings for a better experience and our practical lifetime warranty to ensure this bib keeps you going for seasons to come.
At 686 we understand that sustainability is not a destination but a way of behaving that aims to lessen our impact on the planet. For us, however, sustainability does not end there. Found on our GORE-TEX and GLCR styles, articulation seams are placed in high mobility areas for comfort, room for layering, and to maximize mobility.
The GORE-TEX membrane is created as a series of pores. Each pore is 20,000 times smaller than a water drop, yet large enough for vapor to pass through. This creates the ultimate membrane for keeping the inside of your garment dry while still allowing moisture and perspiration to pass through, effectively regulating your body temperature while keeping you comfortable inside your jacket or pants. GORE-TEX guarantees you will stay dry and warm in any condition, for the life of your garment. All GORE-TEX fabrics are bluesign® approved, meeting the highest environmental standards.
BOA® compatible leg gaiters allow you to tighten your top boa on the fly, without letting the elements get to you.
Cross-venting is achieved through deliberately designed zippered vent placement, much like windows in a house. Open one vent and air will enter and circulate. But if two are opened air will flow through the garment creating a cross-breeze that evaporates moisture and rapidly cools the body.
The seams where pieces of fabric are brought together are the most likely spot for moisture to intrude into a garment. The seam taping process prevents this by making the seams as waterproof as their surrounding fabric. Seams in 686 garments can be fully taped throughout the garment or taped only at critical areas to further ensure quality workmanship and guarantee waterproofing.
