2001 Logic Jacket

FROM POWDER TO PARK, SUB-ZERO TO SPRING TIME

The 2001 season was a turning point for 686 and snowboarding in general. Founder, Michael Akira West had begun spending more time in the bigger mountains of Utah and BC which in turn influenced his fascination with layering and extended use of jacketing via transformation. 686's first 3-Layer Jacket, The Logic Jacket was designed to transition from on hill to off with removable powder skirt. This blend of sportswear and tecnhical all-mountain-wear set the standard for an era to come.

Taped Seams

The seams where pieces of fabric are brought together are the most likely spot for moisture to intrude into a garment. The seam taping process prevents this by making the seams as waterproof as their surrounding fabric. Seams in 686 garments can be fully taped throughout the garment or taped only at critical areas to further ensure quality workmanship and guarantee waterproofing.

Recycled Poly

Recycled Poly fabric, at its core, is a recycled polyester fabric. Each yard of fabric is generated from 7 plastic bottles. It just so happens to excel where movement or comfort are concerned. It’s a moisture wicking fabric that dries fast, keeps water and stains at bay with a DWR finish, and holds off the suns attack with a UPF of 40+. Our Recycled Poly fabric is comfort.

PFAS Free DWR

C0 PFAS Free DWR (Durable Water Repellency) coating is the outermost finish applied to exclusive 686 fabrics increasing their contact angle and thus repelling water while maintaining high breathability. DWR also helps repel stains and oils that can damage your garment's surface.

NECK Measure straight across where the neck meets the shoulders.	CHEST Starting at 1-inch below the sleeves, measure straight across the chest.	SLEEVE LENGTH With the garment flipped onto its front, measure the total length from the middle back of the neck, to the top of the shoulder, to the wrist.
BOTTOM OPENING Measure straight across the bottom of the garment. Make sure to loosen any cinches.	LENGTH Measure straight down from where the neck meets the shoulder to the bottom of the garment.

NECK Measure around the base of the neck, where the shirt collar is usually fastened.	CHEST Measure at the widest point of the chest under the armpits and make sure the tape is straight and taut in back as well.
ARM LENGTH Measure from the center of the back of your neck, then across the top of your shoulder and down the length of your arm to wrist.	LOW WAIST Measure 1.5 inches lower than your natural waistline.
